My least favourite thing about internet media analysis is the people who take their personal opinion and insist that it is objective fact.
I’ve been accused of doing this, but I really just don’t feel like prefacing everything I say with “this is just my opinion but”. You already know it’s my opinion. If I phrase it in a way that reads as conviction, that just means its a strongly held opinion.
That's just Main Character Syndrome. At the very least, it's illustrative of the tendency to view oneself as the standard template human.
