yeah, what's notable to me is that LASD is notorious for their internal gang activity and running the county lockup like an institutional kill house. like its an open secret now. it's probably one of those most vicious and entrenched administrative units in the entire US, which is a high bar.
i guess it makes some kind of sense, because the worst of the worst are going to be the most sensitive to even the most symbolic, minor "disrespect" of their colors.
