Unpopular trade agreement could be blocked because of U.S. president’s rhetoric on seizing Greenland.

Senior EU lawmakers want the European Parliament to freeze the EU-U.S. trade deal in response to Donald Trump’s threats to take over Greenland.

The deal was deeply unpopular across party lines as it was seen as overwhelmingly favoring Washington, but European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen sold it as the price of keeping Trump onside. However, Trump ratcheted up his rhetoric this week, saying “we need Greenland from the standpoint of national security,” and has repeatedly refused to rule out military intervention.

As a result, MEPs from the center-left, liberal, green, and left-wing groups say the deal should be blocked.

With people like Trump, it's always like this: Ypu give them an inch, they reach out and take a mile. Appeasement does not work with psychopaths. Time for Europe to learn this now. It's kinda funny to me that Nazis finally get what I personally have heard from them on multiple occaions: That Europe stands on its own instead of being the US's puppets. Of course the distancing will also not be enough to them, they always have been traitors that want a "strong" leadership. Not just like Putin, but exactly Putin in person.

On you don't just need to freeze that. There rs something else we need to do:

Tax the techbros. You want tarrffs, Donnie? We'll give you tariffs: since big tech is selling our data and making money out of it, a 100€ tax for every EU user your platform has will need to be paid for every access of each user.

In cases where it's not possible to measure, the tax goes to 1000€ per day.

The goal is simply make it too expensive for any big tech from that shithole to operate in Europe.

Even better. Undo the laws that allow US tech companies to sue them if they take a look inside US tech systems. Some country can make an alternative app store, eat Apple's lunch and make it 90% cheaper and still pocket like 30B. They could even sell their dongles to US customers so they can circumvent and download the foreign appstore and there is nothing the US companies could do about it. All they need to do is change their own laws to allow for this. The US has already ripped up the trade agreements and aid that were the impetus for those laws in the first place so there is absolutely no reason to keep them on their books.

Stop the hem hawing and fucking do it you slowpokes!

Do not do deals or ang business with the US. Cut all ties that we can now. Start building alternative plans for the ties we cannot cut right now.

Start selling US Bonds and tank the US economy. Trump is a bully, but his gang is the rich. They’ll choose a new bully if he’s hurting them, and it helps he’s already threatening them one at a time.
