It actually is. There are dissolved gasses in water that escape if it's sitting out for a while, so it can actually taste kinda flat.
I take a soda out from the refrigerator. An hour later, I put a warm soda in, and repeat the process.

This stopped happening once I got a nice big insulated cup I love. Fuck a glass, I want super cold icy water at 5:30AM without opening my eyes!
