This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

Did you get real lucky on that halberd dropping? I remember one of my Dex builds switching to strength quite quickly after finding one of those.
It's a guaranteed drop off the black knight in the Darkroot Garden.
If you killed him by having him fall off the cliff, just quit to main menu and continue, and the item will be on the ground near where he fell.
Maybe I'm thinking of one of the other black Knight weapons. Haven't played ds1 in a long while now.
Probably the greatsword. There is 1 with it in Undead Burg (the one on the tower) but you have a better chance at getting one from the infinite spawns in the kiln. IIRC, it's a 1% chance when having 10 soft humanity, the symbol if avarice and the gold ring on.
The Goat from Goat Simulator is an interesting crossover that I'd love to try.

I was playing mechwarrior 5: mercenaries. Do I get my battle mechs cuz if so Iβm fucking the hunt up with PPCs and LRMs
I've been playing Riftbreaker, so similar deal with a big mech with absurd firepower and giant melee weapons. I think it would be more of a question of dealing with insight and other weirdness, surviving and killing anything should be pretty easy.

She might even be too prepared, maybe just suffer some cultural shock.
Dude, she'd navigate around the enemies with 0 effort and would look cooler than the Hunter doing it
The last game I played was Automobilista 2, the main character is just an ordinary human that's good at driving cars
So in other words yes, he will drift around all the monsters, get all of the Great Ones to take an interest in racing, and thereby save Yharnam as depicted in the canon sequel Nightmare Kart

I just started a new pyromancer build in Dark Souls III. I sure hope blood echos are compatible with soul leveling, or else itβs going to be a long night.

The main character of League of Legends, John Legend, would probably not fare too well. Depends on the champion. The last one I played was Amumu I think? Yea he's toast
Honestly, I'd probably say that Ryze is the main character of LoL. Dude is out here traveling across the land, searching far and wide. Trying to ~~catch them all~~ collect all the world runes before they cause another disaster. His cinematic (Power) gave real main character vibes.
(And I think Ryze would have a pretty good shot at surviving Yharnam.)

Hornet from Silksong. Yeah, she's fine. Although she might be too small for any of the enemies to even notice her. Well, there's probably a Hunt happening among the bugs of Yharnam at the same time for her to take part in.
She could infiltrate their innards and wreck them from the inside, beasts and bosses alike! shes a bug so no blood = immunity from the scourge, stealthy approach. The invisible hero of Yharnam.
Hornet from Silksong. Probably really depends on whether her size and power scales up to about a human? Otherwise she'd just be a tiny bug running around..
My RL1 Tarnished from Elden Ring?
They would be fine. They got the Star Fist, Ice spear and so much other stuff like actually good armor and they can actually decently jump.
Also I'm one step away from the Lord of Chaos ending. My Tarnished would burn the Great Ones with the Frenzied Flame to the ground.
Last game was X4 foundations. So it entirely depends on if I get my spaceship or not. If yes then the hunt is a non issue, just take off and leave. If not I'm pretty sure my dude is screwed. He's got a spacesuit with a little laser and a bomb launcher with 2 shots, probably wouldn't get very far in Yarnham.
If the Operator has the Warframe they are fine if not they are probably fucked.
