Honestly, this is a major weakness of Lemmy. The OP of a thread can destroy a lot of content by other people, and they often do. I really don't get the reasoning behind allowing them that power.
In Europe you own almost all of the data you post online.

I know, and I think that's preferable. Gives the OP a way to delete their own stuff while not destroying arbitrary amounts of other people's conversations and arguments.
I figure it is simply negligence in that implementation of any kind of solution would take effort. PieFed is too new to have gotten around to it yet, Lemmy seems to want to rather spend time on moderating instances than on code development, and hardly anybody uses Mbin so I don't know its stance on the topic.
I'm betting that six months from now very little if anything will have changed in this regard. Just like the previous six months, the six months before that, the six months before that, and so on. (But if I can say this without getting banned from this community, if something does happen to change this, it will be on PieFed.)
I think they made deleted posts visible in Lemmy 1.0.
I've just done it in PieFed 1.4.3, released now.

which Android app do you advise that makes a lot of piefed's features working ?
If a question is deleted for seemingly no reason on asklemmy, after people have provided quality answers and the comment field is reasonably healthy, I usually issue a ban. It's technically not against the rules, but it is very much against the spirit of the board, and it's not fair towards the ones who took their time to answer.

no, because we keep falling into the same stupid pitfalls like last time.
We do at least have the advantage of editing titles.
And gained a modlog, though we've lost the modmail and the ability to be notified when a mod (or admin) performs an action like remove/lock something or even upon being banned (people discover that months to years later:-).
Well, fuck spez, I'm not going back... I just wish we'd catch up a bit quicker. Probably my expectations were way off on how soon that could happen.

Are there really that many blind (or perhaps low-sighted?) people surfing specifically memes communities though?
Accessibility is definitely difficult, e.g. it is really hard for someone without specialized tools to even so much as see that accessibility text in the first place (even in Firefox, though I mean on mobile Android).
And looking at several previous post to this community (moving to my desktop where I can actually see it, even though I've been sitting at work all day now and would rather look at little screen to relax than continue with big screen for longer...:-P), it looks like most people are simply putting the titles into the Accessibility text.
So what is your argument for any added value that offers, for someone to see simply the single word "Austria!" or the phrase "I will miss him dearly", but cannot see the rest of the post? Like the latter was a cat being exchanged for RAM, poking fun at the high prices that computer memory has risen to lately... absolutely none of which is conveyed by that short snippet of alternative text - how is that "right" to have that, while what I did was therefore by implication "wrong"?

If you neglect the matter, then you'll ensure the systemic discriminatory exclusion here continues. Mastodon & other social media platforms regularly set alt text.

It isn't. Pretty much every OS nowadays has it built in so it can be enabled. Boldly claiming otherwise indicates ignorance. Instead of proclaiming untrue assumptions as fact, it'd be better to admit your inexperience & ignorance on these matters and address that: I seriously doubt you tried.

I mean, I invited you into a conversation to learn, but if you are going to ignore most of what I wrote and rather simply assume then I doubt I will learn much. e.g. I specifically said that I am using Firefox on Android, but the provided link has zero matches to either keyword (of "Firefox" or "Android"). Of course I'm ignorant, I specifically said so, and now after reading your reply I somehow know even less. All I took from that was how superior you think you are.
Even better, replace original postwith gibberish so no one knows the context.
Also a possibility yes, but at least that doesn't nuke content from perhaps hundreds of other people who replied!
