It's pretty crazy how in English you can marry someone without ending up married...

If you're confused about what I just said...When a priest performs a marriage for two people, you can say the preist is marrying them. But that doesn't mean that the ceremony is for him. It's for the other two people. So the preist doesn't need to get married when marrying people.
