Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Got thrown back into anger. After being room temp over the weekend, it will drop to freezing tonight
Without the bizarre cropping

You're doing $deity's work, thank you.
Was this purposefully cropped to remove attribution to the artist? Surely nobody would be that bad at cropping.
All pictures must be square.
Or something.
I fixed it. I hate how the weather switches from cold to a warm snap in the middle of the winter

Holy St. Florian, that burn's even harder than the great Fire of London 1666
Elation (not pictured).
Fuck the heat, I don't understand the lizard-blooded people that hate winter.
Fuck winter.
It also just makes sense on a practical level. You can always put on another layer, but there are only so many layers you can remove in the heat.
Am lizard-blooded.
Temps below ~60°F/15°C cause actual, physical pain. My joints hurt, my bones hurt, the air is usually drier which makes it hard to breathe, and my muscles tense trying to brace myself against the cold.
Yes, I stretch. Yes, I wear layers. Yes, I take prescribed vitamin D. I still hurt and I still deal with pretty bad seasonal depression. That’s why I’m happy at 90°F/32°C; it stops hurting.
That’s why I’m happy at 90°F/32°C; it stops hurting.
My happy temperature!
:(
Aw, I'm sorry. I get nauseous and weird prickly skin along with sweating almost literal buckets when it's too warm, so I guess I do feel you on a conceptual level, at least, even if it's the reverse for me.
My condolences to you as well. Crazy how human biology can vary so much!
Hopefully you’re able to be in a climate better suited to your needs, if you so choose.
For real. I hate the heat. The quality of my sleep increases exponentially when my room is under 60 degrees. In the summer, when I'm fighting my power bill to get below 73, life is absolutely miserable.
I'll deal with the heat in exchange for sunlight and thriving plant life.
Currently preparing for the ice storm that will hit tonight, which will likely knock out power. As I would rather not freeze to death, and have all the pipes burst in my house. Ya, winter.
It's 25C here currently... So denial, I guess?
None, winter is nice
I actually kind of like winter? Much better than Summer!
My phases:
Longing, anticipation, comfort, giddiness, glee, ecstatic joy
Wtf, no positivity allowed on Lemmy
My air conditioner is running right now, so haven't even hit the first stage.
I'd be happy if there actually was any snow, then it gets bright and pleasant outside. Around 0 C and rainy is way, way worse, especially given the very limited hours of sunlight.
PNW?
Sweden.
I never seem to get past the depression state. Is there a cheat code?
I like winter. It makes the hot dry summer tolerable.
Remind me to post the reverse in june
You mean like this?

(I must have too much time on my hands. Way too much.)
I was thinking I'd swap the faces too if I remembered to
Summer lol
In denial that winter ever used to be a thing. 70F, 21.1C here, 80F and 26.6C less than a week ago. When I was a kid we had to wear actual winter clothing. I hate the desert and I hate the denial that we're warming up.
