He's going to have to do commercials for Israel the rest of his life after the largest blunder of a final seasons since GoT S8.

I don't think he faced any real consequences for promoting Zionism. The media is currently promoting him as an LGBT icon for doing a 'coming out' speech in the new season of Stranger Things that was released on Christmas. His character came out as gay and also he's gay in real life.

I stopped at season 4 and dont care to devote 90 minutes an episode in this new season, have moved on. Curious tho, whats so bad about it?

[–] thefunkycomitatus@hexbear.net 24 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It's the exact same stuff from every other season but done worse. More retconning. Just about ever episode is characters coming up with a plan, arguing with each other about the plan, doing stupid analogies, then only spending 5 mins executing the plan. That only leads to needing another plan. Too many characters. Now there are more people holding up their hands and screaming in slow motion. They ran out of music licensing money because they are fucking beating Running Up That Hill into the ground. Some of the actors are clearly phoning it in and tired of doing the show. A lot of nonsensical plot points and weird character moments.

Sounds about what id expect. Thanks for the rundown.

"Zionism is sexy" "Torturing helpless infants to death with starvation gets me off" wow that's crazy bro and you even printed stickers to let everyone know?

i mean, lily allen also famously said her hiring sex workers to get down on the sly with when married to her previous partner wasn't cheating, because the sex workers were women. later, she would go on to have an affair with a man, and that she characterizes as infidelity.

i try not to be too involved in celebrities doing each other dirty, in the context of their romantic entanglements since they might as well be aliens from an incomprehensible culture. however, i did have a relationship with an artist once who, i would come to believe, really only seemed to seek out romantic relationships so they could spark novel emotional configurations and interpersonal conflicts to mine for content starring an idealized version of themselves as the brave, honest hero.

Lily Allen embodying a very Roman approach to infidelity I guess

[–] vegeta1@hexbear.net 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That just sounds exhausting

[–] came_apart_at_Kmart@hexbear.net 6 points 2 weeks ago

it was exhausting to be around, and didn't really seem to be a source of strength for them either tbh.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Apparently Brett Gelman is fucking RABID about his zaionism too.

Not fixing that typo because it doesn't deserve to be.

[–] LENINSGHOSTFACEKILLA@hexbear.net 11 points 2 weeks ago

rabid is an understatement, tbh. he's a fucking pig.

the former cop guy that has a mustache cheats on his wife

I vaguely remember Reddit being in love with him for how "wholesome" he was. Guess that didn't last

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

Even in the show he's a jackarse. He basically sells out Eleven to the feds and then when he adopts her he's a controlling dipshit. Can't wait til he gets killed off for emotional impact

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 22 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

phony publicity apology

Pretty consistent with standard liberal ignorance about the conflict tbh. Most of them see it as "two equal sides" just fighting for "no reason" and they're just one good brunch conversation away from hashing things out.

[–] krolden@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Or they'll boil it down to "their religions hate each other"

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 6 points 2 weeks ago

"It's very complicated sweaty."

[–] Crucible@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

I watched the whole West Wing 9/11 episode and I know Muslims hate freedom because Issac stole Ishmael's inheritance

[–] Clippy@hexbear.net 16 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Why does every deep-fried meme use Brazil funk now? Like, I don't think it's bad or anything, but I feel like I'm suddenly seeing it all the time.

[–] Clippy@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago

depends on the intent of the creator, but i think it is something to indicate that brazil funk (or phonk) has outlived it trendyness in north america, and its use is to indicate an attempt to relate to popular culture despite being out of culture half a decade ago.

fellow-kids this meme kindof but in music
