in case you didn't already know you can basically turn anything into a fucking cracker or wafer or flatbread of some kind, like, you can take some lentils, dry or wet, whatever, grind that shit into a flour (and add water) or a paste (and don't, unless you need more, but you'll probably need a little more to make it into a dough), then season that shit, add some wheat or rice flour or whatever (I didn't even do that with the lentils) and then flatten it into a wafer, then fry or bake it

maybe this is just me but this has blown my mind lately and I wanna make crackers out of everything. I made a butternut squash and black bean chili at work the other day and I soooo want to puree that and crackerize it. eat that shit with some hummus or something, fuck yeah

today I was making a senegalese black eyed pea stew (idk what makes it senegalese since it was basically calling for creole seasoning in the recipe, but I threw some okra powder in there which I FEEL made it more authentic but idk) but I reserved maybe a cup of the beans, some tomato juice mixed with stock, and creole seasoning, blended that up into a paste, added rice flour until it was a workable dough, then rolled it flat into half-dollar sized wafers before freezing and then deep frying them (at 350F deep frying them for ONE MINUTE was just about perfect, ditto for when I made the lentil wafers, although some of the thicker wafers weren't crunchy towards the center. properly flat wafers should take about a minute), and when they were done they were so fuckin' good

I offered samples to like ten of my coworkers and only three wanted to try them :/ but they all said they were really fuckin' good, and yes, they were, my other coworkers slept on some good shit, probably because they thought "BEAN chip? vegan bullshit"

like just imagine refried beans... but with the texture and crunch of a tortilla chip. And you can dip the BEAN chip, into like, a salsa. Does that not excite you, chat?

Pro tip but you can season the COOKED beans from a can and taste it to see if it's seasoned good, if it's seasoned good I'd add at least half that amount of seasoning again after you add the flour because remember you'll wanna season that flour too y'all

do not do this after adding flour because you can get: e. coli, salmonella, worms and more!

You can dip your bean chip in bean dip so you can bean on your bean while you bean

But OP, I want to crush crackers, not make more of them!
