Trump said, "Somalians ripped off that state for billions of dollars, billions, every year, billions of dollars, and they contribute nothing."

Oh, the fucking irony

“Somalians ripped off that state for billions of dollars, billions, every year, billions of dollars, and they contribute nothing.”

"now get out of my new throne room"

[–] Omgpwnies@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

What if that's what he imagines this new "ballroom" will be...

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Did he mistaken somalia with Israel?

[–] Mihies@programming.dev 25 points 3 days ago

Always projections, eh

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 28 points 3 days ago

Well... At least he's a consistent asshole.

[–] Hoohoo@fedia.io 23 points 3 days ago

If he visited my city I would say the exact same about him. I'd be a hypocrite to tell it any other way. Ilhan is welcome to visit!

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 22 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Didn't more Somalis vote for Trump in 2024 than before?

Another round of leopards eating faces.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

What about those who didn't vote for Trump do they hold responsability for it and face consequences?

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 19 points 3 days ago

Trump got increased support from literally every minority group in 2024, but I doubt Ilhan Omar supports him.

Yes... but an insignificant amount. It went from a staggering super-majority for Dems to an overwhelming super-majority for Dems.

White people are overwhelmingly the reason Trump was reelected, stop trying to deflect to minority groups.

Edit: it also doesn't matter because minnesota still elected Harris.

I'm not sure why you think that having a significant impact on an election is a requirement for a discussion about them wanting Trump to be president.

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I think a sizable portion of their population is the main requirement here, something that I emphasized far more and is also not something that applies. But yes, having an actual impact on the election is an important consideration.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So nothing is worth discussing unless it has a sizable impact on something else?

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Decrying an entire group of people as "Leopards Ate their faces" when not even one in five of them did so? Kinda fucked.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 18 points 3 days ago

Maybe they'd consider it if you stopped fucking ruining their country.

I like Germany today but I still wish Trump would go back to where he came from.

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 13 points 3 days ago

Speaking at Trump's level: "Takes one to know one!"

[–] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago
