Supporters say it’s over her advocacy for Gazan children.

How DARE she!!!! /s

[–] taiyang@lemmy.world 14 points 4 months ago

Truth be told it'd be weird if that part said literally anything else. "Supporters say it's over her potty training videos."

[–] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 95 points 4 months ago (6 children)

Do they realize how silly this shows them to be? I get the impression they’re so out of touch they don’t even realize it.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 60 points 4 months ago (1 children)

They no longer care. They know how ridiculous they are they still backed by the major west, arab traitors, china and russia although most of those countries try to deny that

[–] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 37 points 4 months ago

They’ve cratered decades of support and goodwill from a huge portion of the world. May not have an impact today but I hope it changes in the future.

Given my interactions with zionist friends and family, they're completely out of touch. They've shoehorned themselves into a hasbara bubble and consider anything not pro-Israel to be "Qatari propaganda" one way or another. That closes any channel that could possibly inform them of the way they appear and lets them lean into their victimhood, raging against anyone and anything that isn't aligned.

Their existence is contingent on a majority of Americans being ignorant of reality.

[–] DaMummy@lemmy.world 11 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Wait, is this not a The Onion article? Of one of the foreign versions of it.

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 28 points 4 months ago

No, they've been trying to undermine Ms Rachel's calls to not murder children for months now...

[–] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Mashallah this is a great video

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 1 points 4 months ago

They are already too out of touch to even realize how fucking bonkers they look to anyone not already in their little bubble.

[–] cecilkorik@piefed.ca 90 points 4 months ago

It's never wrong to punch a Nazi, even if the Nazi is Jewish.

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 67 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Imagine being so completely detached from reality, that you would put Ms Rachel in the same category as Tucker Carlson? The mental gymnastics required to make that make sense, is Olympic caliber.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 43 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Also Nick Fuentes is nowhere to be found

[–] n4ch1sm0@piefed.social 28 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That'd be too stark of a difference; showing what obvious legitimate antisemitism looks like. I'm willing to bet they'll always pretend Nick Fuentes doesn't exist.

Funny since he's trying to make them not exist for real. They'd rather continue their own genocide than stand against someone who wants to genocide them. If it were me I'd be concerned about the amount of blowback we keep seeing on the news, but hey they're not my chosen people.

[–] b161@lemmy.blahaj.zone 53 points 4 months ago

It’s antisemitic to think murdering children is wrong apparently.

[–] TriangleSpecialist@lemmy.world 41 points 4 months ago

That's convenient, I had just created a "genocide apologists of the year" award, and was not sure who to give it to.

[–] nkat2112@sh.itjust.works 31 points 4 months ago

Let's hope that the Israeli genocide against the people of Palestine will somehow come to an end.

Special thanks to Ms. Rachel for being the guiding light we need in these dark times and for speaking truth to evil power.

Good video essay on the topic by Lindsay Ellis.

Incidentally I love that the video has raised $800k for Palestinian Children's Relief Fund.

[–] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.dbzer0.com 29 points 4 months ago

As a Jewish person I aspire to one day be antisemite of the year

[–] iambatman1469@ttrpg.network 28 points 4 months ago (1 children)

It's funny how words lose meaning.

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 21 points 4 months ago

If thinking ethnic cleansing is wrong is antisemitism, yeah, I guess. But at that point it seems like it’s morally right to be antisemitic.

Israel - just as pathetic as evil.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

But Palestinians are Semetic people... How can she be an anti-Semite?

[–] Leomas@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

In the same way that causcasian can mean people from the caucasus region or white people depending on context.

[–] CaptainBasculin@lemmy.bascul.in 6 points 4 months ago

Wow, what a prestigious award. I'm an amateur antisemite but I have the passion to become the very best, hope I earn it in the future.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

How many of those "antisemites" on that list think:

  • Jews are greedy, or at least "have much higher financial intelligence on average than non-Jews",
  • Jews are scheming,
  • liberal Jews are behind "wokeness",
  • Jews are massively overrepresented in sex and financial crimes,
  • Jews are massively overrepresented in financial institutions, the media, and the arts,
  • some people cover up their Jewish heritage.
  • Jews and Gentiles are unable to live together in peace?
[–] Artisian@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I do think "StopAntisemitism" deserves being in the title; it's a particularly loud group, not particularly representative of Israel the government (or jewish folks).

Just an absolutely abhorent organization, which deserves to be despised. No good work, just a racist organization focused on directing other racists (and actual antisemites!) away from real problems.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Lol what? It is definitely representative of Israeli leadership since it's creation

[–] Artisian@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

I would love this source: do they receive substantial funding, infrastructure and facilities, or personnel explicitly from Israel? What is their explicit tie to the government?

AFAIK (and I would really like to be wrong), this is a passion project by some absolutely terrible grifters.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (15 children)

You don't have to be payed by an government to be representative of it . Every single Israel state representatives and defender use the argument of antisemitism to refer to anybody who has the least amount of criticism of Israel and even humanizing Palestinians kids like Rachel did
