What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

I want white people to be liberated of their own whiteness. I feel bad for them. I think this is partially possible, but not completely possible.
Once a white person got drunk and cried while talking to me about hating being white. They cannot escape the fact that their upbringing is sterilized of culture from far more ancient ancestors. They resent the fact that their later ancestors cut ties with their own ancestral culture, and made their deal about erasing other people. Still, they can try their best to learn about the side opposing imperialism and to respect everyone that their ancestors spun up race conspiracies about. To not perpetuate white supremacy propaganda.
They may not be able to stop being white, but they can get rid of certain aspects of whiteness. Not just in behavior because that would just be acting nice, but at the roots in their belief system. They can stop downpunching in every way they spot it.
An essay on this matter, though I'd say it was too optimistic
This is why “white genocide” actually does have a meaning beyond “racial integration.” If you take away a white person’s ability to live as the undisputed master of the universe—to take his own experience as normal and privileged, and to presume all others to be debased copies of his own primary existence—then you take away his whiteness. His heart will fall to the ground and he will not be able to lift it up again. After that, nothing will happen: whiteness will be dead.
We should welcome this manifest destiny. White people will not be systematically murdered, after all; non-white people mainly want to live as full human beings in the societies in which they were born, and they don’t need to kill white people to do it. In the 18th century, they did: if enslaved Haitians wanted to live as full human beings in the societies in which they were born, they did have to kill white people to do it; the only thing to regret is that enslavers laid the seeds of their own misfortune.
We do not live in the 18th or 19th or even the 20th century. Donald Trump’s generation can remember America before the civil rights movement, before California and Texas—and so many of our cities—became majority-minority, before their cause became a lost one. In a generation, Donald Trump’s generation will all be dead, and they’ll be replaced by the least white generation in American history. The arc of demographics is long, though: we’ll live the rest of our lives in a world where whiteness is backed in a corner, wounded and angry. We’ll live in a world where it has never been harder for a white person to live as the undisputed master of the universe, to take his own experience as normal and privileged, and to presume all others to be debased copies of his own primary existence, where whiteness is a plurality, still, but not a majority, where white people have dominance but no longer have hegemony. Because hegemony is dominance that doesn’t need violence to maintain itself, this is a dangerous world to live in: post-hegemonic white supremacy is organizing for war, and we will not be free of it for a long time. Because white supremacists see their morbid collectivity vanishing, they are willing to die for it, and to kill.
We can live for it, I hope. My children, if I have them, will speak Spanish, and in their life they will assimilate me into the new world we can all dream of creating together. Whiteness needs to die, because it was only ever about death in the first place. We can dream of something better, and more to the point, we can live it. A term like “white genocide” will not help us do that. But it’s good to look at what they are against, what they fear, what they hate, and remember what it is that we can be unironically for. There is probably a word for it, and I hope we all live long enough to learn what it is.
I feel like it's impossible to separate white people from imperialism, even white "leftists" are pro NATO and hate "shithole countries" and it's people, they will mention their backwards culture, goverment, history, and yet claim to be not racist.
Even if they denounce capitalism, they are still imperialists and perpetuate it.
So now the liberals pivot to mocking Somalis because they didn't rock with kamala and the gaza genocide and trump is mocking them.
How white people talk about Somalis is a litmus test. I've spoken to people I thought were ok or not super racist because they were polite to me, who then showed their whole ass by shit-talking Somalis. And then they had the gall to wonder why I was upset at them for being racist!

If a white person shit-talks Somali immigrants, I know I'm dealing not with a person but with an irredeemable devil and the best response is to just start verbally harassing them so they feel bad about themself.
"I'm not beating you up? why are you upset about me beating this innocent person up? infact you should thank me!" also what bad name are Somalis giving immigrants? there's not many of them and they're literally just chilling I don't think these people even met a Somali.
Yeah well the people who talk about this don't understand the concept of having any sort of sympathy or empathy for anyone except for themselves. They also obviously do not consider anyone darker than them people.

A litmus test is a test on the reactions of people, when posed with a certain thing or question, in order to determine their moral character, political principles and so forth.
In this context, if they give a positive or indifferent response, to the question of opinions regarding Somali people, they should pass as good, or just ok people
But if they go on a bigoted rant, that's when you should drop them.

It was a mistake to open that, looking at fills me with contempt for my neighbors but it's not like that's a fair or representative sample. I was tempted to use my reddit account to either argue with these removed in the comments or write up an effortpost to post there, but the fact is :stormfront: is :stormfront: and its userbase is so fascist that it will do no good. At most I'll just be baited into telling a bunch of racist assholes to do graphic things to their bodies that violate Reddit's TOS and get permabanned again.
The feels, honestly 
sometimes a little momentary hope blinds you one bit, only to be reminded that not only is Reddit a western site that doesn't fall any distance from the rotting 4chan tree, but is also browsedly disproportionately by US military bases and modded by the likes of national security ghouls like Jessica Ashooh and Ghi'laine Maxwell.

Even just a few months ago, I was a lot more in the mentality of wanting "equality" with the oppressor, but now I took a turn away from that for sure.

Individualism I think gets absorbed by immigrants. They think if they achieve the lie of the American Dream, they will be exempt from white supremacy. That racism only applies to others and not themselves. It also doesn't help a lot of anti-communists are the ones with the means to immigrate to the US, either financially or through political connections or both.
Sometimes I wonder if I was spoiled by not having to grow up in the home country. But then I see ICE agents terrorize elementary school kids and I revert back to "Yeah no this country sucks we shouldn't have left."

I occasionally notice in the media that some Chinese people call women "sister." Is that a well known enough tendency to the point a Chinese person could call a black person "sister" and have it understood that it's being used differently than black people typically use it? Or in reality might it be taken offensively?
Hello, I hope you are well. From my experience as a SEA, which I assume this experience is also similar to EA people. Anyone that is around your age or older is called sister or brother, if they are much older then use uncle or aunt. If they are much younger use young sister or brother. It is used in almost all settings especially with people who you don't know their names. For example a waiter comes to take your order at a restaurant, you would say "Sister, I would like a cup of tea".
From what I understand the use of the word sister for a black person is more similar to the word comrade, please correct me on this.
At least in my region, we don't use 'sister'. I don't think this would cause an issue.

According from my mom people from everywhere but Guerrero are stingy backstabbers. Think it deeps from what I hear from family they got more mixed feelings about people from Mexico since they from Mexico other countries they will spout what they heard but are also easier to sway. They tend to have a favorable outlook to white people here but mostly because of how badly other people of color treat them here no doubt reinforcing this kinda outlook. The self hating immigrant or poc rarely just stick to hating themselves.
