Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). If reliance on natural immunity worked, we wouldn’t need vaccines. Isn’t this why vaccines were invented?

[–] AreaKode@lemmy.world 37 points 1 month ago

New health care recommendation. Anytime you feel yourself getting sick, just tell yourself:

We wouldn't need a shingles vaccine if it did.

Let’s be real. These guys will still be getting vaccines. It’s the plebs who will not.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Just look at the childrens' graves in old graveyards to see how wonderfully natural immunity works.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Taco and Bobby Brainworm's Ministry of Truth will have to get to scrubbing THAT data soon, too.

[–] Brkdncr@lemmy.world 50 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Aren’t vaccines a way to get your body to naturally defend against viruses?

Welcome to the world of the terminally stupid.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

"No not like that."

Their policies are destined to trim an extra 50-100k Americans off Social Security each year, mostly the poors. I can’t prove that’s the intent, but it’s likely to be the outcome regardless.
The dead will get lost in various stats and old people are not popular nor respected, so it’ll be overlooked. I know it’s trendy to hate on the elderly but y’all need to understand you will be old yourselves soon enough and the cultural hate of the old will apply to you. You are neither different nor special. Get vaxxed, eat your veggies.

This, 100%. I see what seems to be a huge rise in bagging on "boomers" and a lot of it is among the supposedly progressive, which is just....mind-boggling. Apparently one of the last identity it is open season on is anyone above an arbitrary age, no matter what their life experiences. Everyone above, say, 70 years of age is one big monolith that caused all the problems...

These fuckers are gonna kill us all.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Not all, just the poor.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Very true. If these dumbfucks want to live by their own credo, I guess....go for it?

But the idea that they get to set policy, spread disinfo, do things to discourage vaccination, or worst of all: keep US from getting vaccinated?

GO.

FUCK.

YOURSELF.

After all this is done and over with, these pieces of shit should be happy that we no longer prop people like this up in front of a firing squad...

I think he has stock in baby sized coffin manufacturers....

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Humanity tried that for a couple of hundred thousand years. It didn't go so well. Then they discovered vaccines and it was a big improvement. But I guess the Republicans want to try the old way again just to make sure.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

What's the sad truth is that vaccines are a victim of their own success. We seem to be right at the point in generational die-off where all that wisdom is being lost and a whole lotta dipshits that didn't watch babies dying of preventable diseases are now taking over...and believe the anti-vaxxer bullshit about how it was "really" because of things like septic systems, clean water, etc...

(What's even scarier is that also explains the rise of fascism, too. I know the 80 year cycle theory has supposedly been disproven, but it would explain a lot about the rise of the "alt-right" nonsense among the young)

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Let him go first. This dipshit should get the measles, have the immune restart, then (if he survives) go to Christmas dinner with all the sick relatives hiding that they’re sick.

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

It's fitting for 2025 that the center for disease control has the position that diseases should be out of control.

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 4 points 1 month ago

When are they going to drop the curtain and just call out Nurgle as lord and savior?

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Bet you he and his family are inoculated to their eyeballs.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

We should have him catch measles so he can enjoy building up his natural immunity again to all the things he's already caught.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Does he have the shingles vaccine?

[–] EmpireInDecay@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

Can't get new viruses if the new litter expectancy is 32

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 month ago

Apperebtly that second C in CDC now stands for Circulation.
