Wait until they start saying this is communism because working class people get promoted to high offices.

He's a young mediocre chud who posted his way to an important position. This is the least smug photo they could get.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 9 points 1 month ago

Rob Sneider gets more then bargains for when he plays a young republican who becomes the director of counter terrorism.

Sorry but how is that top guy 22. Maybe I’m bad at judging while people’s ages or something but he looks at least 35 to me

[–] nohaybanda@hexbear.net 79 points 1 month ago

Young republicans look like middle aged men even in their teens?

Hatred and bigotry ages you quickly

It's just the bad haircut.

[–] CountryBreakfast@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 month ago

He looks 18

[–] lil_tank@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago

To me he definitely looks 22 or even under

[–] PurrLure@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago

I wouldn't be shocked if he was trying to make himself look older with the receding hairline cut and the old-fashioned suit so that his older coworkers might at least pretend to respect him.

Also the dreams work smug face helps forehead wrinkles to show up in the photo.

It’s kind of funny how the tech-bro replacing the wall street business shark as the model capitalist has resulted in this irreverent wunderkind archetype bleeding out into other areas of business and now I guess government. To predictably disastrous results.

They were just waiting for someone who mentioned being against Antifa on their resume

[–] ClassIsOver@hexbear.net 28 points 1 month ago

Based on who they're investigating for "terrorism" these days, I'm kind of glad it's the top guy. If they were actually going for violent extremists who statistically do violent extremism, the bottom guy makes more sense.

I look forward to the top guy making Kash Patel faces on live TV when something he did ruins an investigation.

Often the worst Roman Emperors were the ones who took the throne at a younger age, because being handed absolute power to a young adult is never going to result in a skilled and experienced leader, but one who just uses that absolute power to have a good time and enrich themselves, and not actually run things at all.

A lot of these no experience kids being appointed are just the useful combination of being naive enough to not know what orders they shouldn't follow and being unimportant enough to take the fall if things go wrong

I doubt imperialism is in decline.
