My kids were in the first trials of adding girls to scouts, and I got to talk to one of the older boys about it.
He said “the way I see it, I’m gonna have to work with women in the real world, so it’s good to learn that now.”
Unfortunately my kids couldn’t continue because we moved and the local troops weren’t integrated.
But i thought they hate safe spaces? Are they afraid of girls?
Unfortunately, their vaccine hesitancy also prevents them from getting the cootie shot
Even when I was in scouts way before all this there were still girls around doing shit at our meetings with us. Parents bringing younger siblings along or whatever. It was fine. No one complained and they got to join in on whatever we were doing if they wanted. This shit is so fucking stupid.
We were monsters and they wouldn't have let girls near us with a ten foot pole, we mostly set things om fire with increasingly creative ideas. Although that might because one of the leaders had no children and seemed to be a male oriented pedophile. Maybe he wasn't though, idk. I personally had a blast until it got too oriented into building unsustainable projects in the woods for eagle projects.
My boys have been in two packs over their careers. The first one was boys only, and the second one allows girls. The second one has tons more activities and active participation as the first one. My youngest was a Lion/Tiger at the boys only pack, and the older one was Wolf/Bear. Now they are Bear/AOL and getting some valuable experience that seems closer to the real world. Pete Hegseth can eat shit.

I saw some girls I thought were selling Girl Scout cookies not too long ago, and was initially disappointed that they were actually in the organization previously called the Boy Scouts and were selling that nasty popcorn instead. But that was beat out by how cool it was seeing girls in the scouts.
Not cool enough to spend money on the popcorn tho. They really outta find something new to sell for fundraising. It sucked when I was a scout, too.
