Ooooo maybe it is time to make a new character and revisit one of the best games ever! Hopefully this will make the place more populated for a while at least.

I remember having so much fun on the holidays. Candy corn monsters, Christmas themes in towns etc.
Yeh they always did pretty decent events for different holidays around the year along with some unique mini games like the roller beetle race thing.

I hope those improved graphics don't balloon the game's install size to something ludicrous like 70GB, since the original was roughly 4GB
I don't think they mentioned texture updates so it should be OK?
Bunch of buzzkills in this thread. If you don't want it, just don't buy it. I'm personally very excited to revisit one of my favourite old games.
I thought the buzzkills were going to be people who already bought the game thinking they had to pay again, but no its really just people who are.... Mad that a 20 year old game is getting an update and a discount?
I played the original Guild Wars and loved it, although I never got particularly far into it... Have no idea how to prove that I bought it though... Maybe I have an account with them already? I'm excited to possibly try it out again though, see how my nostalgia of it holds up.

I do not think the game they played in The Guild was anything like the original Guild Wars. I always got the gist it was more like WoW.
