If there's nobody to participate in the economy then prices don't exist and that's the most efficient economy
i know I'm not exactly spittin deep theory but i think statements like this are interesting because rather than being ridiculous and out of touch, it's actually factual, in the sense its a tacit admission that our politicians in the us are so deep in the pockets of the rich that the rest of us don't even enter their calculus; their definitions for "inflation" and "the economy" count the proletariat as resources to be extracted rather than beneficiaries of any economic outcome
