How about some more infos on you and your dogs situation?

[–] Acamon@lemmy.world 7 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Are you stressed or anxious? Dogs often pick up your background mood better than you do yourself.

Yep! But it's getting better. Now they've found sticks and are happily chewing on them and chasing each other. "New" place (though not really new).

They hear you crying yourself to sleep at night.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago

I didn't realize they could pick up on this. That explains so much.

[–] JayFonduh@lemmy.org 5 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Because you're worrying about worrying?

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

Well, shit.

Probably because they associate you with being fed. And if you cease to be able to do that they are not sure how they're going to get food.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

That seems like a very valid concern and makes me feel even more guilty for leaving to go to work. Thank you!

Hell I mean you got to remember they're pack animals and usually in a pack, there are some relatively clearly defined rules. If you supply the pack with food they obviously are concerned for your well-being because without you they don't get fed.

It's more that I moved, I think. But mostly I'm joking/projecting.
