I'm not too old to play difficult games, I just lack the time, and often, the interest.

QTE-based combat where timing is everything? Sure, could learn it. Don't care to.

Blue Prince is difficult, but it's engaging and I love what it stands for and is about.

Mostly I play Animal Crossing just to relax after a long day. I love just hanging out on the island. But I also have another game I play, one with a narrative. So I'm finally doing Mass Effect with the legendary edition trilogy, got it for $6. All three games and their DLC. Couldn't say no to that.

That's pretty much their argument. As people get older they're facing motivational or time issues playing difficult games, it's not an issue of sheer reflexes. And even games that people think require reflexes are using a lot of learned/developed predictive behaviour instead.
