Welcome to The Shitpost Office

Shitposts processed from 9 to 5, with occasional overtime on weekends.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not SinisterTreat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe

Rule 2: No Prohibited PostageSome packages are simply undeliverable. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content
  • NSFW content must be properly tagged

If you see anything that violates these rules, please report it so we can return it to sender. Otherwise? Have fun, be silly, and enjoy the chaos. The office runs best when everyone’s laughing.... or retching over the stench, at least.

Edit: oh wait this is the account I block people on, I just haven't blocked the latest cm0002 acct lol

Edit 2: y'all gotta catch up on your Lemmy lore. Cm0002 is on a mission to rid the fediverse of .ml, and is doing their part by reposting other users' posts from the ml shitposting community to here (without crossposting or giving any credit afaik), which annoys me because I have to see every meme twice

I'm curious to know who else you block because cm is far from the worst poster IMO

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 9 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Yeah .ml is much more problematic then cm has ever been.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

I meant as far as the big meme posters go but yeah .ml is...special

[–] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 6 days ago

But that's where cm gets their content?

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I block the entire ML instance, I see comments but no posts.

[–] cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I wish i could stop seeing .world comments.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago (1 children)

You...can? It's a toggle in the settings. Block comments from blocked instances.

Hilarious that you're finding this out from someone on .world

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 days ago

Absolutely brilliant. Good thing they didn't know that, or they'd have never seen your comment.

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Lol apparently I blocked you but idr why

[–] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

<.< How do you know this forbidden knowledge?

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Haha, I noticed I had a notification I couldn't see, so I switched accounts on a hunch that it was a response to this post

[–] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Oh, I’ve wondered what causes that. Except I only block legit spam stuff…

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I think it might also be instance-banned people in some cases

[–] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago

Ooooh that could be it. I blocked hexbear a while back.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

You must not care for my comments, I rarely post

[–] PotatoesFall@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Posting this without an explanation and then not responding to comments for hours is a fuckass move I have more questions now than I did before

[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 6 days ago

Lmao sorry I forgot I made this post. I made an edit to the text body

[–] gerald_eliasweb@reddthat.com 9 points 6 days ago

If I understand correctly db0 is a instance and cm0002 is a accout that posts ALOT to said istance and the OP wants to ..... ???? idk ... what am I doing again?

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

If this was posted by them too I was about to lose it.

[–] arcterus@piefed.blahaj.zone 5 points 6 days ago

They should repost this lol

[–] unknown1234_5@kbin.earth 2 points 6 days ago

what's cm0002 and why is it a problem?

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca -4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Let Reddit go fam, you have to move on

[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (3 children)
[–] TherapyGary@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 6 days ago

I made a post edit explaining

[–] Zomg@piefed.world 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think they probably want more diverse submissions from different users.

[–] cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

...why not just post if they want that?

[–] Zomg@piefed.world 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Idk. Not everyone is so comfortable sharing online, or doesn't think their content is good enough

[–] cassandrafatigue@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Okay, well, that feels like the solution to this.

[–] Zomg@piefed.world 2 points 6 days ago

Can't say you're wrong, but I guess the technically did post something. Lol

[–] chimp@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] Broadfern@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A prolific lemmy poster, generally, but not sure what else could be the issue

[–] remotelove@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I've interacted with him/her a time or two and there haven't been any extreme negative experiences. I actually kinda got a kick out of watching their effort to boycott .ml (which I total am down with) and troll the admins over there. (Propagandists get no love from me.)

I have seen a questionable post or two related to advertising, but it was in a dedicated community for the company. Not a fan of that here, but it's easy enough to block and it wasn't flooding unrelated communities.
