Turns out anti-vaxxers weren't just wrong, they were the polar opposite of right.

Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
Depends on what the anti-vaxx stance is based on. If they're worried about unintented side effects, then this technically just acts as further evidence for that belief. It's not a negative side effect in this instance but a side effect nevertheless.
Most anti-vaxxers were all about how the COVID vaccine will kill you in 3-5 years.
Then it turns out that in some instances the vaccine actually extends your life.
That, I'd call a polar opposite.
That’s not really accurate. That idea came from the loudest fringe voices online, not the majority. Surveys during the pandemic showed that most unvaccinated people were worried about safety, long-term side effects, or didn’t trust the government or pharma companies - not predicting mass death. It’s fine to criticize bad reasoning, but it’s still worth being honest about what people actually believed.
I got my flu and COVID vaccines yesterday. Hoping to prevent cancer or something. Slightly sore arm, but no flu feelings.
How's the 5g download though? That's the real question.
I'm still waiting to become magnetic. So many tiny screws dropped in crevices...
Updating windows 11 right now Mr Gates!
it also makes people "magnetic"
Just gives you a polarizing personality.
I never got the 5g version, but at least I can now charge my phone wirelessly through my skin!
Came here for the 5g reference, did not disappoint
the 5g was fine, but I got radio frequency treatment today for my dry eyes, so it really feels like a 10g now
it doesnt prevent it , but prolong someone with cancer, until the cancer overcome the body's immune system.
Do you ever ask yourself, "I wonder if I have cancer right now and don't even know it?"
Gosh, and here I thought this was the clot shot and it was murdering everyone everywhere all the time.
Those "clot shot" idiots, JFC. The J&J vaccine had a higher stroke risk than Moderna, so they jumped on it trying to "warn" everyone that getting the vaccine was terrible.
Meanwhile, stroke risk is higher in COVID patients without any vaccine. But can't let facts seep into their ivermectin-soaked noggins.
i had a much stronger reaction to the JJ VACCINE than the booster moderna/pfizer ones.
Yeah, felt like garbage for 2 days, but that was back in the beginning, the boosters haven’t been as rough.
Fine, I'll continue to get my annual 2 day fever and body aches and a week of a stiff/sore arm.
Software updates suck, but they are needed.
i'm about to be wrecked.... just got my flu n covid shot... i will be cold sweating the rest of the weekend.
anything to help protect my elderly peers.... i'll take the cancer thing as a boon...
...i do wish there was an alternative that was less disruptive. but this is why i plan a weekend.
Meh. I got flu, covid, pneumonia, and tdap, all in one day last month.
I was fully expecting to be miserable for days, but instead I'm just magnetic and have a slight case of autism.
i envy you. medicine in general just wrecks me...
for instance, i took a single xyzal... slept 13 hrs. woke up... cut the grass. after i finished i truly woke up. i swore i was dreaming. i did a shit/dangerous job.
second example... when i got my wisdom teeth removed... just the anesthesia made me forget an entire week. like my mom didn't fill any pain med rx. i was just fucked up and lost a week....
