A bold strategy for a channel with very little “must see” programming these days.

I must say, The Rehearsal season 2 was fantastic and The Chair Company on now is really good, although this price hike doesn't affect me 😉🏴‍☠️

The service includes all current and classic HBO original series

Well, that's a lie.

Three years ago they cut a bunch of HBO originals like Westworld because they didn't want to pay residuals when people streamed them. Fuck HBO.

Apple TV is what HBO used to be.

It's the only Apple thing I use. I want to support the things I like and the people who make those things, but those prices are kind of obscene.

for whatever reason i still have access to hbo max because they think i'm paying through youtube tv but i haven't had youtube tv for like five years so it all works out. i don't really watch anything on it but i've been getting it for free this whole time and i aint bothered.

Similar story here. I had an Comcast account that gave me HBO through some promotion almost a decade ago. When they went through that weird HBO GO to HBO Max to HBO transition I found my old account for Comcast still worked. I'm not gonna tell them their shit is broken and giving free access to people.

Killed my subscription a while ago. The whole Batgirl tax break thing kind of pushed me over the edge. Every major streaming service has shown itself to be... shit. I've cancelled them all.
