They had the opportunity to introduce the Iron Shades as the definitive Japanese chapter, with their Yakuza tattoos and Salamander-like attitude towards civilians, even their home planet is literally just Ninja World
But their characterization is buried in a couple novels where they're not the main characters, so casual fans will never discover them except by accident
