Did she really say "a way to touch our community in a way we have never done before"?

I hate the fact that I had to raise my kids to never talk to cops and stay away from them. The safest community leader is probably the librarians at this point.

Newest fascist tool has just rolled into the shop ๐Ÿ˜

People who's 'right' to protest we have just declared to be terrorism will love it, i am sure. A new, impactful way to touch our communities โค๏ธ.

They should have called it the Police Interceptor Ground.

edit: Or the Kosher cruiser because it doesn't have any pork in it.

Now let's talk about the problems of institutional racism. Iโ€™ve been doing some reading. We're on the wrong side of this issue.

Well, why don't they just get rid of the new system and put the old one back in?

It'd be too expensive. Ted, this isn't about race. It's about money. It's always about money.

Money before people. That's the company motto... engraved right there on the lobby floor. It just looks more heroic in Latin.

It turned out Lem had also been thinking about the money issue. And he put together some interesting numbers to show us. And then we all went to speak to management in a language they could understand.

Within a margin of error of plus or minus one percent. And so, if the company keeps hiring white people... to follow black people to follow white people to follow black people, by- Thursday, June 27, 2013- ...every person on Earth will be working for us.

And we don't have the parking for that.

That thing will get destroyed an hour into its first autonomous run.

I certainly hope you're right.

This is basically AI company connected to a bunch of high ranking police officers. This first car was free but now they will recommend all the police units get one and funnel millions of taxpayer's dollars into their own pockets. Beautiful scam.

That thing is basically useless. They mention that if they have situation they can call it to deploy a drone - cool, cool...it's autonomous car, it ain't fast, chief. And if it is, may God shield the fools on it's way xD

[โ€“] axexrx@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago

I dint get why the car, and not just deploy the drone themselves....

[โ€“] _cryptagion@anarchist.nexus 11 points 6 days ago

well look at that. they were right when they said AI was coming to take jobs.

This is actually really cool. Why? One word: outsmartable

[โ€“] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 days ago

Easily stymied. For now

[โ€“] SuperSpruce@lemmy.zip 4 points 5 days ago

There's no way thing thing would be safe to chase cars/motorcycles

[โ€“] notarobot@lemmy.zip 3 points 5 days ago

How many seconds until people in masks start painting / covering the sensors with stickers? And there is not much they can do (I think. Using the car as a weapon to prevent vandalism would probably be excessive force).

I wonder if this one can be stopped with traffic cones like the others

[โ€“] douglasg14b@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Seems rather passive. Bucket of epoxy seems more appropriate.

[โ€“] altphoto@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago

Does it have fully racist mode? I assume Dubai has those things already deployed somewhere. Old tech.
