/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

What if I wanted to live in paradise forever?

Oh shit. Was that an allegory for religion? πŸ€”

sigh Trek really went downhill when it went woke.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not, on this timeline. I want it to be sarcasm.

Dammit, I miss when Star Trek was about diversity and progression, I can’t stand it now that it’s got all this diversity and progression!

I hope it doesn't take generations to overcome this.

Fuck man. Now Bibi is going to invade Bajor. That old twat is worse than the Cardassians.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment in my life is that the Palestinian people still refuse to appreciate how lucky they were to have me as their liberator. I protected them in so many ways, cared for them as if they were my own children. But to this day, is there a single statue of me in Gaza?

Many parts of trek are relevant today. Unfortunately the people who need those lessons aren’t the people who watch trek. Or if they do they think Daimon Bok is a good guy.

As a Factorio player I refuse to vote on this post.

Order must be brought to chaos

The factory must grow

If anyone wants to read a good analysis of DS9 check out A Different Trek: Radical Geographies of Deep Space Nine.

Yeah Damar what kind of people give those orders?

Krogan / Rachni wars being the exception that proves the rule, of course.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Wait, are you saying that the krogan/Rachni wars were justified genocide?

Because I think we got different messages from the relevant missions in that case.

At the time, yes! But I did reverse the genophage. Had to be me.
