It has a sharp bite to it, but that can be avoided by petting the sauce

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

no avoid only pet and bite

When there's only room for one spicy meatball in your sauce.

judging by the color, more like a mayo and mustard mix :3

They eat spaghetti with mustard, brown mustard?

[–] CheesyFox@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

idk, why not. Which "they" are talking here about?

I mean, if you add some meat to the mix, it might even be decently edible. Well, depends on the meat ofc. And the proportions. Sketti itself is just a filler, after all

[–] Speiser0@feddit.org 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

TIL there are people who call spaghetti sketti.

Which “they” are talking here about?

The one who uses the spaghetti sauce in the image.

idk, why not.

I just don't think it goes well together. Especially if it is sweet brown mustard.

Also, I asked to see if you have knowledge that I don't have about cultures where eating spaghetti with mustard is common. :)

if [...], it might even be decently edible

Lol, we can "even" reach edibility? Spaghetti without sauce are already edible. How low are your expectations for sauce?!

just to be clear, my comment was a joke, based on the color of the cat,

What's wrong with "sketti"? I've just heard it like this somewhere, prolly from some aussie, idk, it's fun to pronounce it like that

My expectations are always low towards weird cullinary combinations, and, frankly, i don't like spaghetti, or rather, pasta in general, i'm more of a dumplings kind of guy.

This sauce mix and sketti should work well with some kind of meat. Baked meat would be ideal ofc, but some kind of sausages might work too

If it's just pasta and sauce, it's hard for me to imagine mayo+pasta combo to be tasty, as the texture would be too slimy, with or without mustard. The fact that pure mustard+pasta sounds meh doesn't help either.

What’s wrong with “sketti”?

I never said it was wrong. The word is just new to me.

i’m more of a dumplings kind of guy.

Do you want to listen to a song about Thuringian dumplings? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJe3cdM7f1c

[–] CheesyFox@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 month ago

yeah, it's a jokingly rhetorical question fam, dw

I don't speak a word in Deutsch, but boy, do i vibe with the song, thanks <3
