actually though the CSTO won't give the US necessary military access to attack afghanistan, and pakistan isn't going to surrender what amounts to a puppet regime so what the US can actually do is limited to terror bombing
Isn't Pakistan pretty consistently against the IEA? I follow a few afghans on instagram and they have pretty negative views on the Pakistani government, even if Pakistan is one of the few places that hasn't attempted to put the country under siege.
i interpret recent events as mostly theatre for domestic audiences, the taliban leadership owes pakistan deeply and i don't think they've meaningfully soured, or IEA would be facing a hell of a lot more pressure

So now Trumps plan is to ally with Pakistan to invade Afghanistan again, while putting a 50% tariff on India to befriend Pakistan? Also use Pakistan to block off Iran, which has a direct land border with Iran? Did I get these convoluted geopolitical situations correct?
I am certain that many hardcore imperialist warmongers in Washington would love to do that. However, given the massive geopolitical changes that have occurred, especially over the past five years, I do not think that Pakistan (allied with China) would actually allow it. The Western imperialists are not as mighty as they once were.

Why would they even gave it back? The USA would have to invade again plus they didnt even promise to unsanction the Taliban if they gave the base back
Also pissing off China a country that has lately ignore sanctions to trade with countries is just a bad idea
i mean look at Iran if you want examples of states acting directly contrary to their best interests, and Afghanistan has inferior checks on its leadership. But it mostly has to do with Islamabad, not Kabul. Seems relatively unlikely Pakistan will cede it's influence without substantial reward and pitting itself against the PRC after PRC military contracts have served them well seems insane
So are they planning on dropping Ukkkraine and go back into Afghanistan?
I think he really wants to pass Ukraine off to Europe to handle so he can start invading other countries, like China, Iran, and now apparently Afghanistan.
A part of me would love to see a reverse of the Soviet-Afghan war, where the US tries to take Afghanistan again and China covertly funds the Taliban.
