I think my town has gotten its first bike lane. Its like you go anywhere past the borders the the town their are lanes but you hit ours and they disappear and you get these bike route signs (believe that was a minimum thing they had to do under state law). Its been a complaint for so long but this thing is the road does not really connect with anything. It was resurfaced and I would not be surprised if it was a state requirement if they resurface or something. I hope so as maybe then we will see more.
micromobility - Bikes, scooters, boards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility
Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles, heelies, or an office chair: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!
"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.
micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
Please keep in mind that Upway is an e-bike seller!! Of course they'd be releasing articles like that!
Other than that, they're probably a good choice to buy from. The prices are pretty fair and their customer support is in that very lenient "We're a new startup that needs to establish a good image at any cost" phase. I bought a Neomouv Kayso 2 N7 (actually N8, I'm pretty sure it was a production misprint) from them for what ended up being 900€ (with 150€ student discount and 50€ off after it arrived damaged, but they also refunded the cost of all repairs).
LOL 'Cities making the switch more possible than ever'. Maybe in Europe but definitely not US or Canada.
Yeah they're illegal on the roads where I am, and there are no sidewalks or bike lanes. Also, we get some terrible weather in the winter, it would be really difficult to use year-round.
Jokes aside, Fake Kingston has been making good stride in active and public transportation. This will make it more resilient than other cities of similar size.
From a few youtube source, some US city is definitely going there. I think Carmel city, Indiana is considered a bike friendly city, and i think NYC and Seattle get a mention too.
Canada bike lanes drama...
SF guy who remade ocean drive into pedestrian promenade... voted out.
it is amazing how these clowns are willing to fight better urban infrastructure.

x68 is just the fuel costs
Holy shit, not even insurance or car repayments?
My e-bike felt like a lot when I bought it. Now it’s cancelled so much car costs it isn’t funny.
Even less if you plug in at work 😇
If I lived closer to work maybe. But my commute is 45 minutes there at ~75mph on highways, and then repeat that on the way back. I routinely see temperatures below 0F and above 100F.
I need a subway or a train.
But all I have are highways.
So I have an ev…
Well, I did exactly that. Found a new job I could easily commute to by bike.
Temps don't really matter that much. The only situations I wouldn't commute are those I wouldn't do by car either.
