I'm having a shite day and reading the news and browsing social media with everything going on everywhere isn't making it better.

Please share something good around you or from your part of the world. A little text, a little image, an article, a video...

I taught an old man at the grocery store how to spot ripe avocados. I don't know what came over me.

He was definitely over 65 years old, and I saw him picking through avocados with a concerning, almost overwhelmed look. I guess I was in a good mood because I approached him without any anxiety or thought and said, "hey, you want to know a trick?" He looked up at me, I picked up an avocado, "if you remove this little knob here where the stem grew and it's brown.." I removed the stem knob and it was brown to my surprise, "then it's likely brown inside and bad" I picked up another avocado and continued, "if you remove the little stem and it's still green" by god I picked a perfect avocado again, I showed him it was green, "well then it's perfectly ripe".

A big smile now on his face, he said, "hey thats pretty good!" Thanks me and I go on my way.

I smiled the rest of my shopping trip. I hope I spread some community vibes in that moment.

I havent been to a comic book store in many years, its been like a decade. Kind of drifted away from that hobby a bit over time since I was a teen.

I recently got back into watching ComicsExplained on YouTube a few months ago. Rob is an awesome summarizer whos the only guy I ever liked watching about this stuff.

So Marvel and DC are infamous for their beef so crossovers never happen. Except two days ago for the first time in over 20 years they released a crossover comic with some banger selections for teamups. I was sold enough to want to pick up a copy but they only did physical printing no digital. You HAVE to actually go to a store and pick up a copy.

For the first time in many years I felt hyped enough to want to read a story and had incentive to physically a comic store. I didnt realize how cheap single issue comics were so I picked up several storied ive been hearing about for months that I wanted to get into.

I spent the day sunbathing in a hanmock, reading comics with my kids and feeling nostalgic remembering how I got into it many years ago.

Going to a house warming for some dear friends who just bought their first home. They're only 20 and 24! And no, that money ain't from mom and dad.

Finally figured out my medical issue. Apparently I was shitting more blood from hemorrhoids than I thought. Just standing up would get my heart slamming. This happened 7 years ago, so I wasn't panicked. Got back on psyllium husks for fiber, pooping normal and almost 100% good after only 5 days!
