Salt & Sacrifice is OK. Balancing was all over the place, but I had good time with it.
I've heard if few the others, but have not played any of them. With a quick look Asterigos looks most interesting of the bunch to me
This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:
[BB] This enemy is so difficult!
or
[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

My wife and I played all of salt and sanctuary and really enjoyed it. We bounced hard off salt and sacrifice. It's a very different style of game compared to the first and just doesn't have the same oomph for us.
From all videos I watched, every game here is a 7/10 at most, maybe ELDERBORN could be worth the $6. Otherwise, pass
It's a couple pretty decent games for relatively cheap, overall. Not the best games, for sure, but definitely worth the price. Don't expect anything crazy both in terms of gameplay as well as overall polish and quality compared to their contemporaries, but they're definitely not bad games
I've played Atergios, Achilles, and Salt and Sanctuary (game before Salt and Sacrifice).
Probably worthwhile for the price.
Salt and Sacrifice has been on my wishlist for a while.
I watched someone play Steelrising and they enjoyed it. Looks decent but the aesthetic is not my cup of tea. Would still play it eventually if I got the bundle though.
Enotria looked interesting, but the reviews kept me away. Still rotting away on my wishlist.
I haven't heard of/don't know much about the others.
I've seen some videos on Enotria and it seems like it would be a worthwhile experience if you can get it for cheap and like genre. It has some cool ideas with status effects and the art direction and setting is immaculate.
