is that... a very weakly censored fuck?

[–] moakley@lemmy.world 57 points 2 months ago

Emphatically uncensored.

I think we're highlighting them now

quickly types an incriminating note on my computer and checks that the never dying battery is correctly installed

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

With how 4 actually has generators you can get fusion batteries from, they totally could have made some terminals power off if you've disconnected the battery before checking them. Sometimes it does turn off lights, but it's not even consistent with that.

Its been a while, but if i remember correctly even when the lights turn off it's only for a couple seconds and then they come back on.

Or, it could just be your post-apoc wasteland hobby: setting the innumerable decrepit & more fortunate in various creative poses for others to puzzle over afterwards... 😅😶🤷🏼‍♂️ What else is there to do while waiting for the species to fizzle out?

This is my thought, if I survive I plan on getting on the crazy train.

[–] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

The real question is whether or not you have any choice in the matter 😊

I think it’s gunna be toot toot all aboard the crazy train cuz we will not do well as a species.

[–] RustyShackleford@literature.cafe 7 points 2 months ago

I assumed I was already on the train anyways lol.

"Will not"? That's generous. More like "haven't, ever", but where's the comedy in that? 😅😶

This is the way.

I was kind of hoping they'd use Picman in fo4 to allude to exactly his, but alas, no.

Is it too late to tell him the reason why there are so many bathroom skeletons is because, with radiation poisoning, shitting yourself to death is the expected outcome.

[–] ButteryMonkey@piefed.social 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Here I always figured your skin falls off and you get infections, or your bones melt out by turning to jelly. Or your bones start growing again in random ways, that’s a pretty horrible option..

I mean I know your guts would probably turn to soup because soft tissue and all, but would your muscles have the coherence to pass anything or are we talking random spasm? Also that one dude with super acute radiation poisoning, that wasn’t mentioned.. are we talking sort of long term exposure stuff here?

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 months ago

That one dude with the super high exposure got the exposure externally, so his symptoms reflect that.

With nuclear fallout, radioactive particles get stuck in your gut. It's not just doing damage while it's there, your body is actively responding to its presence.

[–] Rooty@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Nice of him to stay in one piece despite every ligament of his body rotting away.
