There never was a chance to elect a progressive candidate.
Actually progressive candidates dont have the funds to compete on the scale necessary to fight back against a corrupt 2 party system that has had decades to secure its stranglehold.
It doesn't matter what they think. People knowing the names of the fascist pieces of shit just turns up the heat on them.
They might not feel actual 'shame' but when people start "inconveniencing" them by refusing to let them go about their day as if they are good people then that is a win albeit a small one.

Couldn't remember it before, but I watched the first couple of episodes of "Smoke" a few days ago.
It started out somewhat intriguing, but by the end of episode 2 some easily guessed plot points are confirmed. Not sure if that will help or hinder the rest of the season - hopefully the next episode answers that.
I really wanted to like it, but it felt like they could never decide what they wanted it to be.
I knew it was coming, but I was still upset about it lol. I figured they would have changed things up so that he died later.
At least we got some flashbacks with him, but when a large appeal of the show is the dynamic between Pedro and Bella or really Pedro and anyone with his gruff sassy dad/uncle vibes it was foolish of them to expect otherwise.
Then on top of that the rest of the season was basically angsty teen drama of almost CW quality.
