The longest-serving state senator in North Dakota history has been indicted on federal charges related to child pornography.

Ray Holmberg, a Republican who resigned last spring, was charged in an indictment unsealed Monday with travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual activity and receipt of child pornography after investigators showed he traded scores of text messages with a convicted sex offender, reported KFGO-TV.

There's only one thing the gop loves more than LOUD projection and that's abusing kids. The party of the grand ol' pedophiles

  • NOTE: I'm reaching the character limit on Reddit posts, so here's a website with a list of about 1000 of these republican shit stains on humanity.
[-] badaboomxx@lemmy.world 36 points 1 year ago

And none of those is a drag queen.

[-] killeronthecorner@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

How many go to church?

[-] lazynooblet@lazysoci.al 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Is there a similar list for democrat, or something that lists all related convictions for government officials? Something without the obvious bias or tit for tat

[-] Igloojoe@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

Dont forget trump himself. Saying himself, he loved going to epstein parties and epstein was his friend. Had a court case right before he started running for pres where he was on trail for child rape. The girl got bullied into dropping it.

[-] vivadanang@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

haha I thought I was the only one who kept this list handy to respond to these, thanks for a much better format/linked response!

[-] GeneralVincent@lemmy.world 69 points 1 year ago

I'm so surprised. The GOP?? Never, this is shocking. I'm blown away right now. But Republicans care about kids, and the drag queens are the groomers /s

[-] whofearsthenight@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

Who would have thought that the party that advocates for child marriage, forced birth even in cases of rape/incest, has an unhealthy infatuation with child beauty pagents, and spends an inordinate amount of time accusing everyone else of pedophilia is in fact full of pedophiles?

[-] fne8w2ah@lemmy.world 42 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

No surprises for the Grand Old Paedophile party.

Whoa, crazy, never heard of a Republican do this before

[-] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 29 points 1 year ago

Mass shootings or sexual predators hiding in conference spheres, lights my fire how common those headlines are.

[-] Maeve@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago

Everyone approaching psychological and social decency/norms already knew the call was coming from inside the house except for their voters.

[-] carl_dungeon@lemmy.world 27 points 1 year ago

Wait they must have confused this man with a drag queen or a black guy or a bad Mexican hombre, not a law and order good Christian GOP saint!?!

[-] evidences@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Look at the photo, they're clearly trans /s

[-] IHeartBadCode@kbin.social 23 points 1 year ago

I mean at this point which of the GOP is NOT doing this? Like, all this fighting "grooming" and what-not. If you are not convinced that it's been projection the whole time there's not much point in attempting to be informed.

[-] shalafi@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

I keep saying this, but the Gaetz thing is over with zero chance of nailing him. He's my Congressman, so I've had a close eye on this. I mean, fuck me, we could hardly get a worse rep if he had gone to prison.

His convicted buddy that was expected to flip on him? Didn't.

The 17-yo in question? Not only refused to testify, but opened an OnlyFans site which prosecutors felt would destroy her credibility on the stand.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but he was real quiet for a bit and then came blustering back full force. Now you know why.

[-] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Maybe the current (past) Gaetz thing, but people that behave this way, don't usually stop.

Maybe it'll take another decade for something to surface that sticks, and I bet he's being watched closer now. I don't think he's smart enough to say shit, I can't keep doing things line this, and stay clean the rest of his life. That would take actual self reflection and remorse, which he lacks. If anything, he'll feel untouchable now instead and feel empowered to try again or continue.

[-] Frog-Brawler@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

That’s all quite unfortunate. We’ll just have to keep paying attention. He’s bound to fuck up again.

I wonder how much a PI would cost, and how quickly a GoFundMe would get funded.

[-] Pretzilla@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

My guess is they are holding the kompromat on him so he plays along

[-] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago

I recall on that other site someone put a list together of all republicans and democrats convicted of child sexual assault type charges. You can guess which list was SIGNIFICANTLY longer.

This was years ago - anyone seen a current version, or know of any active trackers?

[-] agent_flounder@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Still looking but so far I found this

90 state lawmakers accused of sexual misconduct since 2017

I didn't total up the results.

[-] whostosay@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

51 are Republicans

[-] awnery@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

that list is disturbing but hilarious

California Democrat 'formally reprimanded March 8, 2018, by the Senate Rules Committee and told not to hug people anymore after an investigation concluded that his frequent embraces made multiple female colleagues uncomfortable'

Meanwhile, Republicans: ...

He’s 79 years old. It took two years from when he was raided and charges being filed. Strong chance that he’ll die before being brought to justice.

[-] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago

I mean, we all knew he was a kiddy-diddler. The R next to his name gave it away!

I checked. Not a drag queen. He's a Republican. How come Republicans are sickos? Wait, don't answer, I know that they are.

Project

Whenever some one goes into a groomer rant, and they like using grooming as a word, you can be sure that they're into grooming, and they need to be investigated.

[-] Rapidcreek@reddthat.com 10 points 1 year ago

More evidence that we have one Dakota too many.

Maybe two.

[-] thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 year ago

You can't be more correct. In reality it's two states to break up the Sioux and the coalition that was created by Red Cloud

[-] Jaysyn@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yet another #GOP #pedo to add to the list.

Someone should tell the QTARDS that are pretending to be concerned about "trafficking" - hey, the call is coming from inside your house.

[-] elscallr@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

They ND GOP also had a party official resign very recently. What the fuck is going on in ND?

[-] adamkempenich@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I live in ND. It’s tough to explain the culture of the state.

Not all of us are bad.

Damn, the thumbnail looks kinda like Dickhead Cheney and i was hoping for some good news.

[-] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I'm so shocked, the Republican party is too honest and holds family values too much to support something like this /s
