Is this from the actual fucking military lol like okay sure you don't have any actual useful tools and no means to get them but you have time to sit around doing arts and crafts?
and maybe this would work if you're super fucking lucky against like an armor penetrating explosive but i'm pretty sure if they put anti personnel shit on them it would be physically impossible to do this shit and not be caught in the blast, like the pole would have to be stupid long and it wouldn't work

I was about to ask the same, this seems like a comedy skit that some soldiers came up with in their free time. If this is what they're being trained, they're fucking cooked if they enter a drone war.
The new tank platoon manual has diagrams for using the main gun on an Abrams to shoot down a drone so, I think 'this is better than nothing' is what they're going for at this point

Yeah then a drone with a gun like the Gaza drones instead of an explosive shows up and your soldiers are all running around waving trash mops in the air instead of taking cover.
Also if the kill radius of these drones was less than 1 meter like the description claims then people would be far less afraid of them already. The fact of the matter is that simply isn't true. Drones are hitting targets and wiping out entire groups, that's not a 1 meter radius, the examples where this has been true are luck which you really do not want to rely on with something that will take your arm.
this is maybe helpful against one kind of anti-tank munition that would be fouled by a bush or shrub.
Yeah hold on while I eyeball the drone and make a decision about whether I'll get blown up waving my trash bag feather duster around. NO THANKS 
They claim it's to fight anti-personnel drones but any frag grenade has a kill radius of 5+ meters. This also depends on tangling props, but many FPV drones have a bumper around the blades.
Slap a Claymore style APERS mine under your drone and just fly it over the troops outside of "broom" range.
