Larry Ellison and his ilk of oligarchs are a threat to America. No one should have that much money or power.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 34 points 1 day ago

Nah, ten years ago they were a threat to America. Now they're actively (and successfully) killing it.

[–] skvlp@feddit.nl 24 points 1 day ago

Probably a threat to the world

The elder Ellison is covering most of the cash to close the Skydance-Paramount merger, which will give him significant control over the new company and a chance to carry out, as he detailed in federal filings, a wholesale transformation of CBS in his vision—including broadcasts of complimentary PSAs for Trump administration initiatives.

This is good information. With the beginning of the Foxification of CBS, we can stop thinking of it as a credible news source and add it to our digital and mental Block lists.

You mean your parents' TV's channel block list.

CBS has always been conservative-friendly. They have a lot of segments that are designed to give Republicans a megaphone and criticize Dems for whatever was going on in the world. All with the facade of treating them equally instead of just reporting the truth.

Is CBS the most conservative friendly legacy media that's not Fox? Is that why this is going through?
