As the candidate who lost the election, she's literally the only person who had the power to issue a recount.

She failed in that responsibility. Despite the 2016 election interference, and Jan 6th. Trump has never had a fair election, and she chose to ignore that in favor of respect?

Please. Respect is earned. Not given. Especially when the protection of our democracy comes with it.

Any reasonable, spine-having American would have challenged the results immediately rather that talk about how broken shit got because they failed in their ultimate responsibility as an American.

Why would they call for a recount? There was no reason to believe the results were inaccurate. After the election, her own staff admitted it was all a grift, and their internal polling never once showed her polling ahead of Trump.

Why would they call for a recount?

Reason 1: Trumps 2016 election interference Reason 2: Jan 6th Reason 3 - 37: Trumps 34 felonies for election interference

There has never been better reason to call for a recount during a US election. Ever. Any thought otherwise is irrational and dangerous to our democracy.

Especially considering Reagan won 16/18 swing states at the height of his popularity. And Trump just won a statistically impossible 18/18 swing states despite Covid ravaging his voter base?

I don't give a single personal fuck about how Kamala was polling for the election.

I do however, give a massive fuck about her spinelessly ignoring her duty to challenge the outcome of this election. Without that challenge, we now have permantaly compromised presidential elections, and every branch of the government stacked with idiot sycophants unwilling to protect democratic law over Trumpian will.

The very security and trust of our elections are now permanantly shattered because Democrats wanted to protect decorum rather than fucking Democracy.

Reagan won 49 out of 50 states at the hight of his popularity. His opponent Mondale won his home state of Minnesota, making it the only state with a history of continually voting Democrat for presidency back beyond 1988.

It is not hard to believe that trump swept the swing states, politics is much less regional and more national than it was in Reagan's era.

I watched the interview and knew as soon as she said "broken" that was going to be the headline in all the articles.

For those who only read the headline, it's a highly misleading one. The full quote is,

Recently I made the decision that I just – for now – I don’t want to go back in the system. I think it’s broken

And she later goes on to talk about touring the country and listening to people, specifically listening and talking without the implication of trying to get their vote (at that exact time).

Now hopefully she's being truthful. If she wants to spend the next few years fixing up her image and actually improving her policies I'd be happy to have her back and trying the primaries.

I always wondered what the opposition politicians in Russia get out of it, given they can’t win and will be locked up or thrown out of a window if they actually speak out about anything. Guess Kamala does too.

She’s never polled well. Couldn’t even win a primary in her own state. This is like declining to attend a party you weren’t invited to where no one likes you.
