Zohran will win the general, short of killing him there's nothing they can do to stop him

Once your enemies start out the gate with "terrorist" and "communist" and you still win with 12% and 2/3 of ranked choice votes, there's nowhere to go but up

The establishment left the door open by accident and incompetence, they're gonna regret this for a generation

Zohran has the mandate of heaven

As someone who has been in several of the struggle sessions around him, I don't think he's the second coming of Lenin, but from what I've heard about his plans for NY, I generally think his position will be useful as long as attempts to implement them occur. He'll either get them through, which I think would increase leftward support, or he'll get ratfucked in the most blatant manner possible. Both are useful for agitprop. The only thing that would be a net negative, in my opinion, would be bending the knee.

From some of the vids I have seen come from him, it does seem like he's already planned around getting ratfucked to some degree when attempting to implement change and use it for agitation, but frankly, I've been busy, so I haven't consumed enough to take a hardened stance.

I worked on the campaign and can tell you with certainty that he has been prepared for resistance and ratfuckery all of the way

[–] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Tell him he rocks. And to clone himself and send us a cowboy Zohran.

[–] CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago

There are a million cowboy Zohrans for those with eyes to see them

[–] thethirdgracchi@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

When are the Zohran Fedayeen sign ups coming for New Yorkers? Only somewhat kidding.

If you volunteer for the campaign enough you can def recommend some merch ideas and it will be considered. Just saying

I've been unemployed and realized too late the campaign was paying canvassers $30/hr (per the job posting). I would have done that!

Now I'm just refreshing his jobs page hoping for something new. I'm tired of tech work anyway.

[–] CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Don’t sweat it too much. Only a handful of canvassers were getting paid (less than 100 out of 50000 if I had to estimate) and it was mostly to have people on staff who were fluent in one or more of the rarer languages found around the city to reach enclaves of particular language speakers that were hard to find regular volunteers for.

If that does describe you though, keep your eyes on the site around the second half of this month. Some new positions like that should be opening up. It’s pretty much all assessment and drafting up strategy for the time being.

I think Mamdani is the 2nd coming of Lenin buddy-christ ....jk. Unless thinking-about-it

[–] MizuTama@hexbear.net 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'd love to be wrong about that lmao

[–] 9to5@hexbear.net 28 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (4 children)

Mamdani will singlehandedly build socialism in one state. The City of New York will become the beating heart of the revolution that ends the American Empire. Great man theory ? Its time for great Mayor theory

[–] quarrk@hexbear.net 18 points 1 month ago

NYC, the capital of Capital, would be a poetic start of socialism in the US if that were to happen

[–] MizuTama@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Okay, but who will slam Lenin for his take on municipal socialism once that happens?

[–] CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

Presumptively assuming Lenin will be wrong usually doesn’t end well

[–] Philosoraptor@hexbear.net 1 points 1 month ago

Its time for great Mayor theory

After reading Eric Adams and his backwards version of the Divine Right of Mayors, I can't see a reason why Great Mayor Theory shouldn't be gaining ground in the next few months.

I feel like he's the best possible version of a DSA social democrat. He's also really good at cable news interviews in a way that you almost never see. His ideology and demeanor actually reminds me a lot of Michael Brooks who had also planned on running for office in New York, and Brooks was fundamental in my radicalization

[–] adultswim_antifa@hexbear.net 39 points 1 month ago

He also got more votes in the first round than anyone got in all rounds. Of course the demonrat party hates him and will probably make him lose somehow.

Time to reach across the aisle and vote for a republican

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 40 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I really hope everyone everywhere who unfortunately has liberals in their life makes sure to constantly point out the incessant and desperate attempts at ratfucking and how weirdly coincidental that the democrats only and always do this when it's an actual left wing candidate, but those exact same people expect us to support their right wing ghouls "to beat the republicans"

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago

Yeah weird how they can all of a sudden rally to remove Jill Stein off the ballot or prevent someone from becoming mayor of New York, but they can't remove Trump from office for literally any reason 🤔

[–] jack@hexbear.net 1 points 1 month ago

I think very few normal liberals (not politicians or party goons) are against Zohran. Light socialist policies are extremely popular among the Dem voter base.

“For every brunch lib we lose in Williamsburg, we’ll pick up two non-voters struggling with rent in Queens!”

[–] spectre@hexbear.net 18 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Not to take away from the bit (more to get it dialed in so we can use it for the next 5 months) but wasn't Williamsburg a blowout for Zohran?

[–] thethirdgracchi@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah Williamsburg was a total blowout. The bastion of brunch libs is the Upper East Side, that went heavily to Cuomo.

[–] spectre@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago

Thanks I'll start practicing the line accordingly

Democrats: "This is terrible."
