There were dudes leaving this many books open during ancient history and people still think neurodivergence is new shit

neurodivergence

you mean left-handed people?

Left-handedness and mixed-handedness are more common in neurodiverse people than in the general population. About 28 percent of people on the autism spectrum are left-handers compared to 10 percent in the general population.

Man it’d be great to go back to that time; writing my thoughts down on eight different books using an ink pot and a magnificent quill, no technology to distract me, scratching my buboes as I cycle between the books by candlelight. Fantastic.

This but with a monitor on each shelf would be nice

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not just one monitor that can toggle between multiple inputs?

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Yeah but consider this:

Semi-related: I use a music stand as a "monitor" for textbooks that I use for reference while working at my desktop. I have it at the same height as the rest of my monitors so I can just swivel my head to see it. I call it my "book monitor."
