Creativity costs money. Lets hire some freelance writers, pay them a low wage, end their contract after the first season. If it is successful, we will hire brand new freelance writers to continue, who will not understand the source material and create something out in left field, destined to be cancelled.

Here’s hoping it is as well done as the original, and not as bad as the many other remakes. The first two seasons of the original still hold up today.
A lot of writers from Star Trek worked on the original series, including Walter Koenig. The show didn’t talk down to its younger audience, which was nice. It also had a lot of great world building. It was only in the third season that the writing started to falter and the budget got cut.
I am old enough to remember this, a kid's show. The Sleestak traumatized my Saturday mornings. I still get PTSD every time I walk into the reptilian section at the pet store.
