MODERATORS

Tesla is overstocked with Cybertrucks, the PS1 graphics-looking mobile monument to Elon’s deep lack of creativity.

It's worth $0 if nobody wants it

[–] nightwatch_admin@feddit.nl 2 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Fair, it’s 10,000 vehicles (stretching the definition of the word) priced at 80k dollars but worth nothing. I would maybe get one for free if I can torch it to kingdom come.

I mean I'd get one and drive it.

Straight into a fire.

[–] jbrains@sh.itjust.works 5 points 8 months ago

Good news! Just drive it and wait a few minutes.

I just want the battery, motor and controllers for some EV homebrew

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 13 points 8 months ago (1 children)

seems like there's an oxymoron on the title

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Who you callin an oxymoron?

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 5 points 8 months ago

not you, you're not oxy

Bury them in that landfill next to the E.T. video games.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago

I kinda want the market to implode for tesla across the board so their batteries and motors kickstart a whole new age of DIY EVs

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

Next to musk, preferably

[–] selkiesidhe@lemm.ee 5 points 8 months ago

So it's basically like Elon! No one wants anything to do with that nasty shite.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 5 points 8 months ago

I just saw a "member of the anti-Elon Tesla club" on the back of a normal tesla (not the cybertruck). You really shouldn't piss off the people who buy your cars.

Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahha. Good.

[–] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 3 points 8 months ago

I assumed the play was going to be selling them to the US government for various things

[–] Supervisor194@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

They sold 6500 units in Q1. They have 8000 on hand. Obviously they want to sell more, but they won't ultimately have a problem moving these vehicles, so the headline is sensationalist bullshit. Until the company moves to oust the Nazi-In-Chief and/or becomes insolvent, the problem remains.

[–] Fishroot@hexbear.net 2 points 8 months ago

I would replace the stainless body with a normal truck body and try to resell it

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 2 points 8 months ago

If they gave me one for free I would scrap it and keep driving my Volt.

[–] swagmoney@lemmy.ca 1 points 8 months ago

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 2 points 8 months ago

Let's hope so, they seem terrible as cop cars.
