deportations are down with Trump again, I believe we had the most during Obama, because it was low key, with due process and local authorities were on it, now there is resistance, causing the opposite effect
Seems obvious to me that if you deport a lit of people, there are less people to deport. That'll be a reason why so many justifications for deporting additional citizens.
Perhaps it's likely that less people are entering the country now than were a year ago, what with the conditions there and all.
To meet 1,000,000 in a year that would be five full 747 planes each and every day, at least.

It's really, REALLY hard to claim asylum in Canada as a US citizen. You'll have better luck trying to get a job or scholarship there
