Wait what I get a home???? With a studio??? Do I need to apply somewhere???
Has someone who had music home-studios for the past 20 years, don't set your expectation too high. Most home studios are actually a closet with a 14 years old computer and interface in it, in a shitty appartement shared with 3 other weirdos.
It says “a home studio “, not necessarily “your” home.
You mean I'll be able to afford renting one? Or that someone will let me live in such a place for free??? Still pretty good hey
I think that first segment is like 5-18, the second segment is 18-98, and the last segment is the cafeteria with uncomfortable hard plastic seats during "arts and crafts hour" if you're lucky enough to make it to the old folks home.
They'd have been able to draw a better timeline if the seats were better, probably.
I don't really count as an artist, and I ... guess mid 30s counts as old?
But I am finally in a living situation where I am not harassed by mentally unstable, incompetent narcissists, who seemingly invent a new neurosis that is now also my problem every week.
I finally have solitude, and can interact with people on my own terms, at my own pace, and I've seriously never had better baseline mental health.
I am loving the shit out of being a recluse!
guess mid 30s counts as old?
Wait until you get to your late 40s.
Wait until you get to your late 40s.
I don't plan to
I said the same thing once. Funny how things work out. 🤷♂️ 😔
I wish I didn't get so god damn lonely, interacting with humans is such a chore.
Get a dog, they're way better to talk to than humans.
Ouch. I feel that in my disappointment.
I feel that in my old weirdo.
Hey everyone! Make sure you check out my Pixelfed account where I post weird ass shit that no one likes because I got burnt out & disappointed as a young artist!
So that's weird old shit now? Now I don't know if I'm just old too (35). But I love that art!
TF are you on about, these are dope. I like your style, particularly the character work examples.
...gonna shoot you a PM.
Good stuff! You’re obviously not to the disappointing stage yet.
[reported for personal attack]
Home studio before death? I really hope so
I think that just means 1/2 of the walk in closet.
HOME ~~studio~~ before death??????
I REALLY hope so
OK... So when does the burnt out phase end??? Is it like a "build the studio and it'll happen" sort of thing? I can't really judge that well, burn out and all...
It's when you start a guitar pedal collection (and call it a studio) instead of playing the guitar.
45-55 depending on how hard the burn out aged you, in conjunction with the aforementioned studio
Bwoah that's not very confidence inspiring
If the price for an actual home studio is being an old weirdo, I'll gladly pay that price
As a young weirdo, the transition to “old” isn’t that hard.
Note: home studio is a fancy way to say a tablet attached to your day job computer... likely in a studio apartment.
painfully accurate
Not on the chart: after death: gained fame and their artwork becomes valuable.
