LMAO, I love that TEMU is just blasting their American users with push notifications and banner notifications that Trump tarrifs are why they have to pay 145% of the sale price for their cart.
Legit can't think of a better way to get the treatlerites to actually pay attention.
I suspect that there exists a type of guy who seethes at 10% sales tax yet is fine with this
Imagine being so disconnected from the entirety of current events. No bad news in sight, just living in the moment.
This is how it works for most people, for certain Burgerlanders, unless something immediately impacts them it might as well not exist.
They call it "not interested in politics", brag about it, and treat as a virtue. Poland is also full of those types.

When I was around 20 this would have been me. Didn't care about stuff that happened on the news, didn't read any news websites, didn't watch tv or YouTube just videogames and work
i have friends like this and I make sure to ruin their zen states by interjecting news updates
"Hey all, did you hear about [manmade horrors beyond comprehension] ?"
I dunno! All I know is my monthly credit card bills that I don't pay are getting bigger and bigger faster and faster! What's going on?!
What is going on?!
That whole sub rn is these posts
I've been watching that sub for the last few days and it's a bit heartening. Most posters correctly attribute it to the tariffs and blame the current administration.
AMERICA LAST
CONDITIONS WILL WORSEN
What is Temu?
Like AliExpress but shittier I think.
Basically just skip the a**zon markup for timely delivery and go right to the source
It’s basically the same but with a really annoying app and dealing with returns is much easier because you’re dealing with a more centralized entity rather than the sellers. You get better deals on aliexpress but if something’s wrong with what you got it can be a big/bigger pain.
Honestly both websites were really useful if you knew when to use them. Now we’re all back to being stuck overpaying some dropshipper dipshit
I see, thank you.
shitty online shop based in china that's popular in america because instead of shipping in bulk to warehouses in the US to distribute their stuff, they would send each individual item directly thus avoiding tariffs due to the "de minimis" loophole. one trump is eliminating de minimis for china meaning tariffs apply and two trump is putting crazy tariffs on china, the result being temu orders getting cancelled or incredibly expensive.
the person in the screenshot is oblivious to this fact so they ordered a lot of shit from temu and now im assuming their orders are getting cancelled.
the average hexbearian
Temu-Jin, just instead of plunder, Usians are (well, were) getting cheap treats.
How much was the price jump?
Edit: Or was their order canceled?
What the fuck are those people ordering? Everything I've seen on Temu you can still find pretty cheap in the US (especially since you're not paying for shipping) or is stuff like this (all of these were rated 5/5):
Like are they just ordering $100 worth of bathroom pun art and lawn ornaments?
Knockoff Lego and camping blankets? I really don't know. It's hard to spend a lot unless you go in for furniture, which really isn't temu's strong suit--hard to toss a futon into a shipping bag, unless it's inflatable. Which, tbh, I've seen.
the order wasn’t mine but there’s definitely some more expensive stuff on there, like furniture and camping equipment.
Temu is literally where you can get anything you can buy in stores for half the price American companies charge. My wife’s chair was $60 on Temu, literal same exact chair under an “american” brand was over $150. Same chair to the stitching.
I saw someone getting a 1400$ additional fee on a 40$ solar panel on AliExpress.
