Actual headline

MAGA Pol Behind ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ Bill Caught in Teen Sex Sting

Trump Derangement Syndrome -- When you are so infatuated with Dear Leader that you will do anything for him, say anything to defend him, and try your best to be just like him.

We're at a point where I don't even know what this headline is.

Maga pol? What the fuck is a maga pol? What the hell is "trump derangement syndrome"?

I do not understand life right now. Is this a trump ally being arrested? Or someone arrested for introducing a bill saying trump is deranged?

I believe he is (was) a politician loyal to Trump who introduced TDS (listed as Trump Derangement Syndrome, a catch all term for people who don't like and talk bad about Trump. As another aside, probably in an attempt to arrest them "for their own safety"). Sounds like he's being arrested on solicitation of a minor, independent of his farcical medical jargon.

I've seen pol used a few times now as well. I'm guessing it's just short for politician?

Yes and has been for decades.

I find that if I don't know what a word means, looking up the definition really helps fix that.
