U.S. Vice President shunned Chancellor Scholz whilst in Munich on Friday, preferring to meet AfD party leader Alice Weidel, who is widely regarded as far-right.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance met AfD party leader Alice Weidel during a visit to Munich on Friday, nine days before Germany's election - but pointedly failed to meet with Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Wow uh. Fuck.

Sorry Germans. I know AfD is a threat, and I am mortified (though not surprised) by my government’s support of that neofascist party. I really hope you guys can stand up to it.

To be fair, Germany has laws to get rid of the AfD and needs to enforce them. Just like the US and Trump, failure to enforce would leave no one to blame but themselves.

It's ridiculous people are still pretending that the Trump admin aren't fascists even tho they do everything to make it crystal clear.

I hope this is a clear enough sign of who not to give power to.
