Especially when you consider that democracy still exists today despite being a nation under attack.
They've literally postponed next year's elections. Democracy is explicitly on pause because they're under attack.

You can’t pause something that never existed in the first place. I’d hardly consider a US coup puppet government a “democracy”.
Although a bunch of bureaucrats did get to buy a third vacation home, so who can say the coup was really all that bad?
Nothing says "Democracy" like privatizing public infrastructure and putting it into the hands of individuals who are completely unaccountable to the people.

Libs only pretend to care about democracy when people vote their way. Crimean referendum? Nah, doesn't count. How about when Ukraine couped the independent Crimean government in the 90s and annexed them into Ukraine? Was that wholesome democracy?
