They say indica and sativa are both similar these days and all of the perceived differences are psychosomatic

My personal belief is that the terms should be used to describe growth patterns and nothing else. I still really enjoy reading people's thoughts on memes like this though lol.

I personally don't feel a consistent difference between sativa and indica, most strains are hybrid anyway. However I absolutely do feel a huge difference between individual strains. I personally only use the energizing ones - I hate the feeling of realizing I just wasted 2 hours staring at the wall or something like that. With a good energizing strain I can enjoy long walks, dancing, doing tedious stuff like shopping or cleaning.

Sativa makes me intrusively depressed while indica makes me feel like a normal functioning person, but the muscles feel a little more sluggish

Research shows the labels rarely make a difference:

We failed to find clear genetic support for commonly referenced Sativa, Indica and Hybrid types as described in online databases.

Link to study.

Also:

There are biochemically distinct strains of Cannabis, but the sativa/indica distinction as commonly applied in the lay literature is total nonsense and an exercise in futility.

For me, the top row meme is accurate

I remember once on sativa that I put together some Ikea furniture and that was kinda nice. However I much prefer to feel relaxed if I'm gonna bother getting high. Indica is my bag.

Another interesting thing that idk if others experience but I didn't ever really get the munchies on sativa. It gives me that buzzy energy where I wanna do something so I'm too preoccupied I guess

I never noticed a difference until oil

Sativa all the way. I want the 8 week mark of addictive smoking to be a flood of insomnia and researching whether politicians are demons...

Indica? That's just going to make me sleepy and unable to do much. Not much fun at all.

Honestly I dunno. From the grower/biology difference there's a difference in growth and cold climate resistances which is why almost everything is some indica hybrid.

From a smoker perspective it'd hard to say. I managed to score a pure sativa strain this month was super excited for it! The high ain't that much different tbh but maybe if I had a heavy indica strain I could actively compare minute differences. I believe the line between energized and slumped is more to do with overall bud quality and how much you intake + tolerance. A few too many hits turns me from energetic and relaxed to lethargic and spaced out. Terp profile and thca content has a big impact limoline really jives with me.
