Liberals can't make any media about resistance to exploitation that doesn't do both sides bad.

Played Assassin's Creed Mirage recently and the whole time the game was trying to make me think the rebels who wanted to free all of the slaves are actually kinda bad because they do violence sometimes. It's not relevant to the main story really at all but they still shoehorn it in at every opportunity. Good luck convincing me that former slaves who want to kill their masters aren't based.

Who wrote that plotline? Ken Levine?

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

Haven't seen the new movie yet, but the only exception I've seen is Wicked, where the revolutionary witch is shown as good.

Crazy how this is also just the plot of Arcane lmao

I thought that’s the plot of Overwatch

I wish they kept the anti-homeless architecture in the maps. It matched how soulcrushing the lore is.

I am Daaaaavid Cage, of Quantic Dream, and I have made a new viiiiiidyo game that asks the very original question, what if robots had, EmOTioNs???

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You could tell me that's the plot of that game and I'd absolutely believe it, sounds like the kind of hack stuff David Cage would come up with. Only thing that's missing is extremely creepy nudity and sex.

you'll never guess what's in the game

[–] Ithorian@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I thought that's what it was referring too before I read the title. It fits better.

[–] casskaydee@hexbear.net 4 points 6 days ago

I'm pretty sure the OP was actually referencing I, Robot

How about the Trigger variant where Terrorist Robot is Model Minority Robot's secret identity and there is no such thing as going too far and Senator Racism is secretly a fascist space alien?

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Wait, which Trigger show is this? Lol

[–] CriticalOtaku@hexbear.net 8 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

Kill la kill, but anything by Imaishi fits

This applies only to their originals tho, Dungeon Meshi isn’t quite this obv

[–] buckykat@hexbear.net 5 points 6 days ago

I wish Edgerunners got the Trigger ending:

[–] buckykat@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago

All of them. The Trigger Plot has certain recurring themes.

I guess the closest would be Promare, but they're pyrokinetics instead of robots and the romance is mlm instead of wlw

"Blade Runner? What's that, like a brand of ice skate or something?"
