Yeah, Democrats stole house race, just not enough to win it and let trump win.

I fucking hate this victim playing shit they do: "We either win, or you cheated"

[-] adarza@lemmy.ca 59 points 3 weeks ago

they "won", and given how much projection there was about election and voter fraud for years... i'm guessing there was, just not from the side they were implying was doing it.

[-] Rocketpoweredgorilla@lemmy.ca 29 points 3 weeks ago

“Don’t worry about voting. The voting — we got plenty of votes.”

[-] islands@lemmy.cafe 56 points 3 weeks ago

For real, if they are so good at cheating and stealing elections why did they fumble the ball so hard this time? They stole just one very close House race and not, like, the entire thing? Pathetic. I'm disappointed Democrats.

“Congressman John Duarte was winning but after 22 days of counting ballots he is now losing by 105 votes,” Greene wrote on X Wednesday.

She's so dumb it honestly hurts my brain just to contemplate her existence.

It's brilliant frankly, you've rigged the system but you don't want Republicans to know, so you just give them the House, the Senate, and the White House to lure them into a false sense of security. A flawless plan, they'll never see the next step coming: being helpless to stop the unfolding erosion of civil liberties and public health and safety.

"The horse I bet 500$ on was winning but at the last minute some pile of glue came from behind and edged out a win. This is obvious cheating. "

She's one of those people who claim the refs are biased when their team loses a football game.

According to this infosec professional, they may very well have stolen the election

[-] capital@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I've been making fun of Trump supporters for the last 4 years for this shit.

[-] karashta@piefed.social 0 points 2 weeks ago

I never started screaming there was a stolen election. But after having read the piece, I see a reason for concern.

[-] capital@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

I don’t. And you shouldn’t either after you read the snopes article about it.

[-] karashta@piefed.social 2 points 2 weeks ago

And now that someone showed me that, I withdraw what I said. I'd never seen anyone write about it or talk about it. And just figured someone should look into it (they did)

~~This is very interesting and deserves a post of its own. Those bullet ballot inconsistencies should demand scrutiny.~~

This is bullshit, sorry.

Hadn't seen this! Thanks! No one said anything about it for days afterwards and I never saw anything come of it.

This is all I wanted unless there was more concrete proof of tampering. Just seemed like someone, somewhere with some credentials should have looked into it. And now I know they did!

[-] MutilationWave@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Thank you for the correction.

For a moment I wondered why the fuck Magic The Gathering had anything to say about democrats and politics…

[-] TheRealKuni@lemmy.world 14 points 3 weeks ago

In this case MTG stands for “Margarine Trailer Queen.”

[-] enbyecho@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

I thought T stood for Terrorist?

[-] Empricorn@feddit.nl 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

That's qreat.

[-] OccamsTeapot@lemmy.world 41 points 3 weeks ago

They stole the house race by having coherent policy and a functional adult leading them but yet still ultimately losing. Thanks MTG, very cool

MTG stole the election from Shawn Harris. So there. Words mean nothing anymore.

[-] Big_Boss_77@lemmynsfw.com 4 points 2 weeks ago

Words haven't meant shit since the allowed literally to mean not literally... it's just been down hill since then...

[-] PriorityMotif@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I literally always use the word literally literally.

[-] JackbyDev@programming.dev -1 points 2 weeks ago

Hyperbole

noun, Rhetoric.

  1. obvious and intentional exaggeration.
  2. an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “to wait an eternity.”
[-] ChronosTriggerWarning@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

No. Hyperbole is just a really fast bole.

[-] JackbyDev@programming.dev 1 points 2 weeks ago

Slow bole is a pretty mediocre literary device.

[-] irotsoma@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

"Elections nationwide should be one day, paper ballots..." Fund it and it can be done. It's primarily a volunteer thing now. Not enough people can take two days off of work to volunteer to monitor and count ballots.

[-] DancingBear@midwest.social 5 points 2 weeks ago

As a resident of Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Oregon, I voted in this election 4 times. Never let the republicans win!
